Church Bells

Ditcheat bells have been rung as part of religious services for over 500 years, we will celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the bells we ring today in 2021. We need a band (team) of eight ringers to do this, sadly we cannot do this for all the services and often only ring six bells.

Bell ringing is a social activity as well as ensuring the tradition continues. We practice on Wednesday evenings from 7:30pm till 9:00pm and aim to ring for 30 minutes in advance of church services. We are also called on to ring for weddings and some funerals.

We will always welcome returning ringers or teach people wanting join the band, contact the Tower Captain and arrange to come to a practice and meet us.
