Business in Ditcheat was once a self contained rural community, with Butcher, Baker and Grocer. Dairy Farms, Builder, Wheelwright, Blacksmith and Undertaker. Men also worked locally at the Railway and in the Brickyard about 15 mins walk from the centre of the village at Evercreech Junction

Today, the village is very different, farming is predominately by one company, Ditcheat is home to Paul Nichols Racing and there are number of diverse businesses that are run from the village which has very good communication links (10mins to main line railway station)
